ICDL - EQDL: information for Degree Programmes and credit approval
IT eligibility / IT skills / IT and telematic skills / Basic IT skills course: information and recognition of ECDL modules
Law: IT skills
During the year, several courses of 24 hours each are generally held at the BLU computer laboratory in Palazzo Borsalino.
Students wishing to attend must register by following the details published on the department website a few weeks before the course starts (check the announcements on the Department website during the year for details on calendars and enrolment procedures).
The course involves compulsory attendance.
Those who do not wish to attend the course should not enrol in the course but take the exam as a non-attending candidate.
The final exam (as attending or non-attending) is worth 3 academic credits.
Instead of the exam, the student can take:
- with the New ECDL skill card, modules in: Computer Essentials, Word Processing, Spreadsheet, Online Essentials
Students can request skill cards and modules at our test centre in Palazzo Borsalino or at any other test centre recognized by AICA.
Political, Economic, Social and Administration Sciences dell'amministrazione (ASPES) and Political Science and Administration (SPA): IT skills
During the year, several courses of 24 hours each are generally held at the BLU computer laboratory in Palazzo Borsalino.
Students wishing to attend must register by following the details published on the department website a few weeks before the course starts (check the announcements on the Department website during the year for details on calendars and enrolment procedures).
The course involves compulsory attendance.
Those who do not wish to attend the course should not enrol in the course but take the exam as a non-attending candidate.
The final exam (as attending or non-attending) is worth 2 academic credits.
Instead of the exam, the student can take:
- with the New ECDL skill card, modules in: Computer Essentials, Word Processing, Spreadsheet, Online Essentials
Students can request skill cards and modules at our test centre in Palazzo Borsalino or at any other test centre recognized by AICA.
Business Economics: IT skills
There is no course. IT skills certification is worth 2 academic credits
The only way to obtain these 2 credits is by passing some ECDL modules. Specifically:
- With a New ECDL skill card, the modules to be taken are: Computer Essentials, Word Processing, Spreadsheet, Online Essentials.
Please note: those who have previously obtained the ECDL Diploma or have passed the 4 compulsory modules (Computer Essentials, Word Processing, Spreadsheet, Online Essentials) at another Test Centre, provided they did so after 01/01/2011 (All exams must have been taken with the current Syllabus 5). For those in possession of a certificate prior to that date, they must demonstrate that they passed the ECDL Update exam with Syllabus 5.
Students can request skill cards and modules at our test centre in Palazzo Borsalino or at any other test centre recognized by AICA.
IGPA: Basic IT skills course
During the year, several courses of 24 hours each are generally held at the BLU computer laboratory in Palazzo Borsalino.
Students wishing to attend must register by following the details published on the department website a few weeks before the course starts (check the announcements on the Department website during the year for details on calendars and enrolment procedures).
The course involves compulsory attendance.
Those who do not wish to attend the course should not enrol in the course but take the exam as a non-attending candidate.
The final exam (as attending or non-attending) is worth 2 academic credits.
Instead of the exam, the student can take:
- with the New ECDL skill card, modules in: Computer Essentials, Word Processing, Spreadsheets, Online Essentials
- with ECDL Core, take the exams: 1 (IT Basic Concepts), 2 (Using the computer/File Management), 3 (Text Processing), 4 (Spreadsheets), 7 (Computer networks - Internet).
Students can request skill cards and modules at our test centre in Palazzo Borsalino or at any other test centre recognized by AICA.
Social Work (CLASS): IT/telematic skills
This course at Asti, involving a final exam, is worth 1 academic credit.
Instead of the exam, the student can take:
- with the New ECDL, modules in: Word Processing, Spreadsheet, Online Essentials
- with ECDL Core, take the modules: 3 (Text Processing), 4 (Spreadsheets), 7 (Computer networks - Internet).
Students can request skill cards and modules at our test centre in Palazzo Borsalino or at any other test centre recognized by AICA.
Transfer credit of IT Skills
Chi abbia già sostenuto i moduli ECDL /EIPASS può chiederne il riconoscimento alla segreteria studenti presentando l’allegato modulo debitamente compilato e sottoscritto. Anyone who has already taken the ECDL / EIPASS modules can request approval of credits from Student Admin, by submitting the attached form duly completed and signed.
