Rules for everyone

EPT>  must be taken by all students enrolled in the first year.

For more information, visit the page dedicated to assessing your knowledge of the English language.

ASSESSMENT OF INITIAL SKILLS> The tests, although mandatory, are not binding with respect to access to degree courses.

However, in the event of failure to pass the test (s), one or more Additional Educational Obligations (OFA) will be assigned, to be completed within the first year of the course.

Rules for Business Economics students:

The student must take the Tolc-E test and send the result to allegati.digspes@uniupo.it

The Student Admin Office communicates the outcome of the test via ticket, based on the criteria established in the VPI test regulations.

If one or both tests are failed, one or more OFAs (remedial requirements) are set.

The Department organizes courses to satisfy remedial requirements.

At the end of the aforementioned courses, it is possible to recover the credits in one of the following ways:

• passing the part / parts in which remedial requirements have been established, through re-taking the VPI test.

• passing the exams established by the Test Commission (Mathematical Methods 1 for the logical-mathematical part, Public Law or Private Law for the text comprehension part).

Taking the Initial Skills Assessment Test (Tolc-E) is MANDATORY also for those who pass the exams of Mathematical Methods 1 / Public Law / Private Law and obtain recognition of the two qualifications in the transcript.

For those who obtain registration of the two qualifications in the transcript, enrolment in the second year of the course is regular.

For those who do not obtain registration of one or both of the two qualifications by the end of the first year of enrolment, it is not possible to take second year exams until this situation is resolved.

In this case, you will be considered ex officio ENROLLED SUBJECT TO CONDITIONS: you do not pay, in the expectation of graduating by 30/4.

You do not need to fill out any forms, simply do not pay.

It is not possible to block the automatic uploading of fee requests, therefore, IF YOU RECEIVE EMAILS WITH THE SUBJECT "TAXES-UNIVERSITY-ISSUE NOTICE OF PAYMENT", IGNORE THEM.

As a precautionary measure, if you habitually used ISEE certification, obtain one in compliance with the provisions for the academic year entering from the Manifesto of Studies and Contribution; you will need this if you fail to graduate by 30/04.

At next 30/04, you will find yourself in one of these two situations:

  • you will have graduated: you will not have to pay any fees, everything is settled.
  • you will not have graduated: you will have to pay the tuition fees of the academic year (based on your ISEE, if you requested it within the terms indicated in the Student Handbook), with an additional fee of 150 € (the late payment will be a one-off if you simultaneously settle * all the payments already due on the date that you pay).

* All payments (overdue fees) must be made (and accounted for) on the same day, otherwise a late payment will have to be paid for each late payment, instead of the overall 150 €.
