Certificates for "foreign use"

Any ordinary certificate can also be issued “for foreign use”, with the original signature of the Department Head.

For issue of the certificate, follow the rules for requesting ordinary certificates, crossing out the code of the certificate you need and writing “for foreign use” next to it.

The issue of this type of certificate takes a few days and can only be collected at the office.

As soon as it is ready, the Office will contact you to arrange an appointment for collection. You can come in person or delegate a person, as long as they are equipped with a proxy document for collection signed by you, a copy of the front and back of your identity card and their own identity document.

After having collected the certificate "for foreign use", you must go to the Prefecture of Alessandria for legalization of the signature of the Department Head.

Self-certification

Self-certification documents can be presented to a public administration (PA) or to a public service manager instead of an original certificate, without the need to print the certificate afterwards.

The public administration is obliged to accept it, reserving, in the event that there are reasonable doubts as to the veracity of the content, the possibility of control and verification; in this case, it is the PA itself that requests confirmation of the document from the other PA.

The procedure is as follows:

  1. access your personal page of online services
  2. select from the MENU at the top right> Admin Office> Self-declarations
  3. choose the type of self-declaration you need and print it
  4. it is not necessary to attach any tax stamp
  5. upon delivery, sign and date it
